The new album title by The Glass Spider sounds a lot more conciliatory than his predecessor. After the album “Resistance” from the year 2008, that is a call to resistance, it is now called “For Better or for Worse”. Someone seems to be done with the resistance and found his inner peace. Sounds as if it would be more harmoniously and maybe a little bit more relaxed now.
Whoever will listen to the new album, will quickly recognize that although a certain lightness has entered the room, the old virtues are still there. Between pop, rock, punk rock and dark tones there is an intersection, which The Glass Spider claime for themselves again and fill it with life.
Everything is new – and nothing’s changed. As being used to „Resistance“ there are some guests aboard. Thus, the crossover veteran “The Lisci Control”, the Berlin Gothic-Rapper “Charon Ekadi”, Olaf Siebert from band project “Shooting David Palmer“, recidivist “Fullkey” and Electrogeek “Emhead” (at the Emhead – Cover “Speak & Spell “) are playing their part on the album.
And after 8 songs, it becomes clear that the resistance is far away from being over.
